DEFINITION

The National Standards Organism (ONN) is created on July 29th, 2005, as a moral person to carry out voluntary standardization activities, through the elaboration, review, update, issuance and cancellation of Mexican standards in all areas related to iron and steel and to participate in national and international standardization. Its performance is governed according to law, based on the Federal Law on Metrology and Standardization and its Regulations.

 

The standardization work is done through the National Standardization Technical Committee of the Steel Industry (COTENNIS); this body aids in standardization policy and allows the coordination of activities that in this area, CANACERO should perform.
